Well, I just bought 'Demon Island' by Cecil Baldock for 99p on eBay - with a dust wrapper!

Well there you go, mine cost £2.50 25 years ago, but I did get a few a lot cheaper!

I bought Peril On The Ridge by Michael Poole today for £5 but with free postage!

I don't normally buy books if I don't see an illustration given, but when I read that it had a bookplate with Douglas Charles Harrod in it I knew I was in for a cracker! I have one or two other books with Harrod bookplates and the dustwrappers are immaculate, he must have had a wonderful collection. It did cost more than 99p!!

What a great dust wrapper too! It's so full of fun, and perfectly captures the essence of the title!

That is a gorgeous cover!

A difficult book to find, but I think I had the advantage of it being listed under Mary Pollock with no mention of Enid Blyton at all!

I hate having to list an illustrator for a novel as 'uncredited' as I have done for Scamp - has anybody got any bright ideas?
