It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Oh, I won't. But since it's now on a public forum of which he's a member, I'm not sure how long we can hide it...

The book's description could be describing Nigel himself: :D :D :D :D :D
In very good condition.
Some minor rubbing on edges.
Two minor marks on rear....
Inside some light foxing, else generally clean & tight.
So glad he doesn't bother reading my posts! :D :D :D

What about the "Head & tail pieces" and being "Bound in original dark blue cloth, with gilt"?! I believe at least one of Nigel's ancestors went in for codpieces and gold braid!

Hmmm, that must be a pirate edition published without the author's permission. He'd never have let them get away with leaving out the apostrophe in "Nigel's".

Well spotted, Courtenay! I'm not too sure about 'foxing', that sounds a bit painful! A great book, sadly the sale has ended.

On a brighter note, I am pleased that I still attract beautiful women.
