What about the "Head & tail pieces" and being "Bound in original dark blue cloth, with gilt"?! I believe at least one of Nigel's ancestors went in for codpieces and gold braid!

I wouldn't have thought Nigel had any "gilt" at all.

Hmmm, that must be a pirate edition published without the author's permission. He'd never have let them get away with leaving out the apostrophe in "Nigel's".
