Drina Books

Post by Abby »

I've just been re-reading the Drina Adams Ballerina series, which I used to love as a child. I'm just wondering if any other posters remember these or have re-read them recently?

No I haven't even heard of these books, Abby. But then if they're about ballarinas then they wouldn't have been my 'cup of tea'. :)

Yes, I've read the first seven of the series. My friend has the complete set and lent a few of them to me. I have never been into ballet (or dancing of any kind) so was a bit dubious, but as soon as I started I was hooked. They are really terrific!
Jean Estoril (also known as Mabel Esther Allan) also wrote another book very similar (Chiltern School). It's not about Ballet, but the main character shares a secret past very much like Drina.
