Should anybody ask me how many books Enid wrote, I would reply, "Countless numbers."

Lucky & Pete, thanks for the birthday compliments. This was quite a birthday that incidentally fell on a Sunday that I had to work with snow relentlessly falling beginning on this day. The snow fall would last three days. It is just beginning to shine reasonably...

Hi Stephen.Glad you had a good day. Sounds like it was like Five Get Into A Fix with all the snow around you.
Will you be buying a copy of Brian Carter's book Enid Blyton The Untold Story? It looks interesting doesn't it.

Pete ,

Thanks a lot for your birthhday greetings. I am trying to write a book pertaining to Rumba in certain parts of Africa. My research is in its preliminary stages.

Lovely to hear from you Stephen.

Great to hear about your new project. I was sad to hear of the recent loss of one of Peter Gabriel's musical collaborators,Papa Wemba.

I like this compilation from youtube Best of Africa Music - Rumba ( Congo ) the music always sounds positive, uplifting and happy:

Just saw this on Amazon:

MRS O says:
My 9 year old and 6 year olds have loved all the Enid Blyton stories - especially school stories and famous five on both audio and book form. Where do we go now? The books I loved in my childhood are for slightly older children and they don't seem to like the more modern stuff - no Jacqueline Wilson or J K Rowling. I know Enid Blyton is tough to beat so what can we try next?

Amongst the suggestions, this little beauty:

Capital One Visa Platinum says:
Watch out for my forthcoming book, THE FAMOUS FIVE: A Personal Anecdotage which deals with the dynamics behind Enid Blyton's writing, using The Famous Five as a yardstick of analysis.
