I would love to see those again, that was a great series.

Been catching up on Catweazle, got both series on DVD. Very dated but still fun to watch.
I went on some great adventures reading the Famous Five books.

Catweazle was another great ITV series: from 1970 and 1971. It's interesting to note that Catweazle was played by Geoffrey Bayldon, who also played the Crowman in the Worzel Gummidge series a decade later.

And also played two parts in All Creatures Great and Small - a sweet-shop owner and an artist - two different characters!

Geoffrey Bayldon has appeared in countless TV series and films since 1952. Click on the following link for a list:

Geoffrey is now 88 years old.

I have never read any of Barbara Euphan Todd's, Worzel Books, but I am a big fan of the TV series, which starred Jon Pertwee (my second favourite Doctor Who) as Worzel.

I received a copy of the following Book - https://www.galaxy4.co.uk/product.thtml ... ts=g4p3AAE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; https://www.amazon.co.uk/Worzel-Book-St ... orzel+book" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; today, there are some excellent photographs, in the Book.

A very interesting Documentary - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Return-Scatter ... l+gummidge" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which I have got a copy of.

Geoffrey Bayldon, appeared in one of my favourite Hayley Mills, films - Sky West and Crooked - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sky_West_and_Crooked" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sky-West-Crook ... I've just discovered that Exbury was used as a location in the Southern Television series of Worzel Gummidge:

Mrs Bloomsbury-Barton’s home is a private property located at Exbury Gardens in Southampton, built
by the famed Rothschild family during the 1920s. It had previously been used extensively as a location
and production base on Southern’s The Famous Five series. The view of the house seen on Worzel
Gummidge is actually the back of the building, which was altered for filming with a set of false front
doors. Worzel is later seen helping a pensioner outside a house found on Winchester Road in King’s
Somborne.

I have just ordered a copy of The Worzel Book from Amazon. Thank you for bringing this book to my attention Billy. :D

The Worzel Book is a superb publication, which I recommend highly. :D

I've also bought Worzel Gummidge: A Very Special Scarecrow by Gary Wharton (2012). This is another superb book and a must for Worzel fans. :D

Eddie Muir wrote:I agree, Anita, Whistle Down the Wind (adapted from Mary Hayley Bell's novel) is a wonderful film of childhood innocence. :)
I think Mary Hayley Bell was Sir John Mills wife & their daughter, Hayley Mills, was the lead child actress in Whistle down the wind! :D

I received a copy of the following Book (which I bought on eBay, a few days ago), today.

There are seven stories in the above Book, and lots of nice pictures from the TV series.

The above Book, is in excellent condition.
