Some interesting use of Christie titles made into poems and pictures on the official site.

Watched the newer version of Endless Night last night with the addition of Miss Marple.
It was bettrr than I had imagined it would be,but I think I still prefer the original version.

Rare photo of Agatha and her husband Max in 1962 in London on the opening night of her play Ten Little .......Only a few yards away another theatre was showing The Mousetrap, then its tenth year...

I enjoyed the original, too, but would like to see the remake...where was it filmed?pete9012S wrote:Watched the newer version of Endless Night last night with the addition of Miss Marple.

There was another Agatha Christie movie with Faye Dunaway and Donald Sutherland which was filmed on the river Dart, the same river where Agatha & Max had their house.

Thanks Pete for the links and lovely photo. I love to see Agatha Christie. She had positive outlook in life!
I love the cinematography and the setting in newer version of Endless Night. Can't beat the authenticity of the setting in newer version! But I prefer the original film, story wise.

Re: Agatha Christie
Take a 306 degree tour of the original set of Agatha Christie's Poirot.

When the TV set for Poirot's apartment has downloaded, click on the bulls eyes to navigate around. Look out for Poirot's moustaches which hide additional information and closeups. Zoom using the plus and minus keys and click on the compass to show a map of the complete set.

Oh, love it. I just love the art deco era. That appartment would suit me perfectly!
Speaking of Agatha, we, (Daughter, grandson, and myself) went to see the Mousetrap in London, Saturday night (21st). I've seen it in London a good many years back. And it didn't disappoint the second time around.

Chick and I haven't seen The Mousetrap yet, Julie, but we must try to see it when it is on in our area.

Re: Agatha Christie
You must go and see it, Eddie. It's fabulous. You and Chick live quite near to London, and it's a lovely theatre - St Martins. Why don't you treat yourselves and go and see it one afternoon! If I lived nearer I'd come with you both and play gooseberry sitting between you both!

Re: Agatha Christie
Thanks for the great suggestion, Julie.
We've just discovered that it's on in Eastbourne in June and so we'll have the opportunity to see it then.
In fact, we'll drive to Eastbourne later this week and book tickets.

You will love it, Eddie. As you probably know, it is based on a short story called Three Blind Mice. However, if you don't know the outcome, don't read it until after you've seen the play!

Re: Agatha Christie
Thanks for the information, Nigel.
We booked tickets this morning for The Mousetrap at the Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne for Saturday, 13th June. We're really looking forward to It. We don't know the outcome and so we certainly won't read Three Blind Mice before we see the play.

I'm sure you'll both love it, Eddie. The play has got a lot of atmosphere and intrigue!
