Very sweet and clever! I've always loved punning jokes and riddles since I was little.
Here's another one by Enid, from memory — it's in the Twelfth Bedside Book. I don't have it to hand, as my family's copy is still in Australia (if we still have it!), but here are the first four lines. There are four more that I can't remember, but they basically repeat the same ideas, while the opening lines should be enough for clever people to figure out the answer! It's another word with (at least) two different meanings...
I swim in the sea,
As flat as your hand —
