Hehe . I dunno what it is about him - maybe the fact that he seems sensitive, erm, very deep down? I've often heard male friends complaining about how women tend to like bar-stewards and not 'nice' men. I guess that we're just perverse like that.

What is they say? Treat them mean to keep them keen? I don't think I'd tolerate that in a man in real life though.

Yeah Snape does seem a bit emotionally blunted. I suppose it was what happened to Lily, alas.
