He'll shack-up with Hermione, live happily ever after, and find out that Snape is his real father.

Ew!

I think Snape is a shoe-in to die first btw ;). Sorry!
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die.

I'm sure we're going to find out a lot more about Snape, whatever happens to him. I've always considered him to be rather mysterious!

I'd like to know the tie up, I always wondered who his parents were.....
There is always something else new to learn.

I think Snape will live, purely because I think Lucius will die. Snape had some good chemistry with Narcissa in HPB, and she's not the sort of woman to be without a husband for long.

Oh no, not another Snape fan! :P

I wouldn't mind at all if Snape died. I am not sure where I stand on the "Is Snape Good Or Bad?" debate. Whether he is good or bad, he's an odious bully, and I find it hard to tolerate or justify his treatment of his students, especially Neville and Harry.

Not long now, though, you're right! I can't wait! Nigel, I wonder how many people like you have booked time off work on the weekend of July 21, and maybe even the following Monday.

Yes I'm sorry - I'm a really big Snape fan!
Snape is definately a good guy!!!!! I'm quite certain Dumbledore asked Snape to kill him so that Voldemort will no longer doubt that Snape is not 100% loyal to him. Snape will somehow help Harry find the rest of the Horcruxes.

It must be exciting lining up at Midnight to get your copy of Harry Potter. In Australia we get it at 9:01am which although isn't as exciting as midnight - it's great because we have the whole day to read it!!!!!

(haven't quite got this quote thing down pat)

Interesting! Yes, that is possible. Snape does have a further role to play, I am sure, and that could well be it.

And yes, it is exciting to line up at midnight. I am always afraid of those queues, though, sure that someone is going to let slip something important (either intentionally or accidentally). Some people just like to spoil other people's fun. The day Half-Blood Prince was published, someone in Cornwall put up a huge sign on one of the motorway bridges that read "DUMBLEDORE DIES." Why? Why do that? I felt for all the Harry Potter fans in those cars passing underneath who couldn't help but see it.

Yeah I heard of people bobbing up in the middle of unrelated discussions on message boards and posting 'DD dies'. What's the point in doing a thing like that? I'll be staying off the net and in the house till I have finished book seven :D

I agree totally Moose - What sort of people would want to spoil things for others??!!!!! :?
I'll also remain in my house till I finish the book! Here in Melbourne the newspapers write articles the day after the book comes out about the things that happened in the book - so most people avoid reading the newpapers. I never have to worry though because I'm a super fast reader and always have the book finished the day I get it.

Yeah I mean to finish it the day I get it:) Though I haven't yet worked out whether I'll read it all in one sitting or streeeeeeetch it out through the day to prolong the pleasure...

Surely if you are reading a book of possibly 700+ pages, it is going to take a bit more than an hour or two in the morning!! I must be in a minority here as I like to read a book properly and not just skim through the pages. I do a lot of proofreading and find that is essential if I am going to spot all the errors to read something at the same speed as if I'm reading aloud - I will not be reading it in one sitting or for that matter stretching it out through the day!! Nevertheless I will still enjoy the book always assuming that someone doesn't reveal everything on this site on the day it is published!

I never skim read ;). But I am perfectly capable of reading one of the later Harry Potter's in one sitting .. with the odd loo or coffee break that is.
