The Enid Blyton Society

Did anyone buy The Mail on Sunday yesterday and receive this free 90 page book? I forgot! Just wondered what it was like.

I didn't know anything about this offer, Rob, or else I would certainly have bought the paper.

It wasn't advertised much - I happened to see it on the Enid Blyton facebook page, but no one mentioned it here, and I forgot!

Is a newspaper I have never bought but would have if known about this.

It looks good. I wonder if there is any way of getting a copy.

I didn't know about the offer either but I'd be interested to hear what the book is like if anyone managed to get a copy.

Doesn't look like anyone heard about it. The Mail needs to look at it's advertising.

There was an advert in Saturday's Daily Mail for this. It said it contained two short stories and tips for having your own adventures (as far as I recall, I was glancing through my mother-in-law's paper). It didn't come with the Sunday paper you had to pick it up from McColls or one or two other retailers.

Yes, someone has seen it now - me! I didn't know anything about this book at all until, like everyone else, it was too late to do anything about it. I actually provided some of the illustrations for it a while back without realising what they were wanted for. HQ have kindly sent me a copy with some other books that will be coming out in a month or so, so I have added it to the Cave. It is an ordinary paperback size and a very nice 'looker'!

It can be bought on ebay right now for about £5.50 delivered - is it worth it?

I am not sure whether £5.50 is a good price but I bought mine for £3.50 with free postage last week.

I bought one on eBay for £4.50. It hasn't arrived yet, but I bought it the other day.

Surely nobody is stupid enough to offer free postage to Malaysia, it would cost more than the £3.50!!

The books have 'Not For Resale' printed on them!!
