It was indeed a sweet wrapper. One that Peter had never seen before. He deduced that it must be foreign, but he had no idea at all what the name meant.

He also tutted to himself that the elephant was not ergonomically or anatomically depicted correctly.
He then looked closer at the wrapper..

On the reverse of the foreign wrapper was a short message. It read: " Came as arranged, but you didn't show up - meet me instead tomorrow at 8pm at ......... .......... ..............

(over to you for meeting location)

Peter immediately tried to round up the Secret Seven, but infuriatingly only Scamper and the dreaded Susie were available.
Everybody else was extremely busy with Christmas activities.

He decided to bite the bullet and ring Susie to see if she would go with him.He hadn't had much contact with her since their time in the shed alone last Christmas.

He plucked up his courage and told her about the sweet wrapper and the note on its backside over the phone.
He was grateful that she seemed keen to go with him - she wisely suggested they leave a note pinned to Jack's pillow to tell him where they were going and what they were doing in case they ran into any trouble.

Susie also very sensibly suggested they should take ........... ............ .......... with them for added protection.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

At 7pm sharp Susie dutifully turned up at Peter's shed with TWO CRICKET BATS. "Howzat?" she inquired of Peter.

Peter was impressed. It really was a great suggestion of Susie's.With only the two of them available to try and solve this mystery they were going to have to work all out together and watch their back's for any googley's at Torling Castle Dungeons.

The approach to Torling Castle would take them past Cow Corner and Harrow Drive.Susie fished around inside her parka and then slipped something into Peter's hand.He looked down.It was a .............. ................

"Ello 'ello 'ello, what have we here then!" said an amazed Peter.Susie certainly knew how to prepare against any possible 'rough stuff'.

They cautiously and furtively made their way towards the castle. It loomed on the hillside before them, silhouetted against the backdrop of a moon drenched sky.

A cough made them jump, but luckily it was only Mrs ................

I hope the antibiotics work Sue and that you are not in any pain or anything. My uncle is a lifelong fan of Aston Villa. They did very badly last season but hopefully they will be back in the premiership soon.
