Sorry for not replying I just have had lots of work and writing a post here takes more time then just writing: "I prefer Timmy, Timmy or Jack Trent?", so I couldn't write. Even now, I'm in stress, but I will try to write some more this week.

I really like Bill's Diary, also because the Adventure-Series are my favourite and I like Bill (I also like him more then other adults in the other works.

I'm looking forward to the next two, but I'm already "scared" of the time when all the Diarys are finished. I don't want it to stop!

Sally wrote:Another superb offering from Terry Gustafson based on Mountain - these accounts from Bill's perspective seem to get better as the series goes on. I suspect this one was even more difficult to write as the story is probably more far-fetched than the others and somewhat Bond-like - but I really enjoyed it and I liked the way Terry is gradually progressing Bill and Allie's relationship in the most realistic way. We have all wondered what really went on at the Farmhouse while the kids were adventuring and now we know - they were having a ball without realising the predicament the children were in! The second half of the story then takes on a very serious dimension with Terry really building up the suspense as Bill prepares the rescue.

Hello Sally, you told me about "Bill's Diary" at the Spade Oak in May, but I cannot find it. Neither is it in the Cave of Books nor in the continuation stories in EBS nor at amazon.co.uk. Was it published in the EBS Journal at some point?

Here's the link to the Cave Chrissie. Bill's diary did start life in the Journals but grew so long they were promoted to a permanent spot where all can access it.

How come Chrissie posted Daisy's quote before Daisy posted?

It's an earlier quote from page 1

Oh, I see!

Chrissie, the search facility brought up Bill's Diary in seconds for me:

Home page>Cave of Books>Search box>Diary

All there after The Famous Five Diary.

I have the sort of feeling that very few people use the 'search' box on the Cave Home Page. I find that it is a fantastic facility and use it all the time, despite the fact that I know where most books are anyway as I put them there! It is particularly good for finding short stories even if you can't remember the full title.

My usual tendency to read the posts in chronological order and then comment on them.
I read Daisy's post after I had posted.

Sorry, Nigel and Tony, but after my many negative experiences with the Search Forums and never getting any results, I just didn't bother searching in the Cave of Books plus I didn't know it's located in the Cave.

I use the search facility a lot - as I did to find Bill's Diary.

Me too! :D

I think it's important to try to limit it to as few words as possible, ideally one. So, if you want to find Mr Pinkwhistle goes to Baghdad - just search for Baghdad.

And I bet you don't find anything!!

Oh, but I'm sure Mr Pink-Whistle, if he did go to Baghdad, could put a lot of wrong things right! :D

I use the search facility a lot too, Tony. But I find that sometimes it comes up with a message saying something like "We're sorry, but the search facility is not available at this time. Please try again later" - and I have to wait a few minutes or reload the page a couple of times before it'll let me search again. (That's not the exact message, just going from memory.)

Does anyone else have this issue with the search facility, and is there any way to get it fixed?
