Daisy wrote:The only Riverton I have heard of is one of the John and Mary titles - "John and Mary at Riverton" It's years since I read any.
The House At Riverton was her first novel, published in 2007. Since then she's written quite a few others, but I've only read a couple. 'The House At Riverton' is a bit like Downton Abbey/Upstairs Downstairs - set in the '20's in a 'Big House' and also in 1999. I really enjoyed it.
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

The author was Grace James and the book written in 1946 - something quite different of course.
