'Adventure at Midnight' 1948

From the Sunday Graphic.A short story strip of six issues concerning James and Bill, who see lights in the tower of an old castle.
They obviously feel impelled to go out (at night of course) to uncover this mystery...

Listed in the cave as an (uncollected Adventure At Midnight Adventure serial [18 frames])

Is this story repeated in any other book or work? Could it ever be included in the journal or included in the cave?

Regards

Pete

There is wealth of uncollected stories in the Sunday Graphic including Rambles with Uncle Nat and Pip the Pixie nature stories. I too would love to see some of these surface in the Journal, perhaps we could have Adventure at Midnight over several issues as a 'serial'. Just a thought, Tony.

Tony published 'Adventure at Midnight' a few years ago, along with 'Circus Days' and several other bits and pieces, in a Society booklet called Enid Blyton in the Sunday Graphic. Among other things, the booklet contains illustrations by Gilbert Dunlop for a Sunday Graphic serialisation of Secret 7 Adventure (the second Secret Seven book) in 1949-50.

Sadly sold out long ago, but these were two very interesting Society booklets.

Both booklets were published about ten years ago after some fantastic research by David Chambers. As Anita says, both the uncollected strips in the Sunday Graphic were in the booklet, and the answer to Pete's question is no, they have never been published anywhere else.

Oh, drat I missed those. No chance of a reprint I suppose? Seems a shame to waste David Chambers hard work.

I too would have loved to have a read of those booklets, but I wasn't a member of the Society ten years ago.

There are many Jourals I missed too! :(

I have just spent the last hour 'Journalising' it and if there is room in the next Journal I will put it in.
