Just wondered whether any of you had been to or are going to the York Book Fair in September.

I would love to but we don't go much further north than Beckenham!

Yes, I will be going on the Saturday. I usually receive complimentary tickets but the cost is £2 entry. There is always a good selection of Blytons available.

Thanks for that John I might try and make it , think you can download complimentary tickets, and if not £2 isn't too bad . There seems to be a lot of booksellers who deal in children's books attending . Are most amenable to a bit of haggling over the price !!

In my experience, I rarely fail to get a lower price. If a book is £12 I always say, will you take £10? The answer is nearly always yes. You've nothing to lose by asking. Good luck.

One reason why I'm not keen on book fairs! I'm a hopeless haggler and tend to just buy for the price I see!
