Re: Football
It’s great to see the Owls and Forest finding a winning streak. Long may it continue, John and Number 6. Brighton’s progress in the Premiership is most pleasing. It looks as if they are destined for more than just survival.

Re: Football
Brighton have now found their feet in the Premier, Eddie. They're showing a lot of character, resolve & belief. Murray has hit form at the right time, which can only instill confidence in himself & the team. I hope they climb the table & aim as high as they can. They've got all the attributes to do so!

Re: Football
I had to smile at a comment I heard earlier this week:
There are six good teams and Burnley above Brighton in the Premiership.

I know right! It is so amazing after like 32 years. I'm really happy and hopefully they'll show their best next year!!!!Domino wrote:....but Peru has! Hopefully this will provide the superglue to stick it back together again.

I don't particularly like International football, but I'm quite pleased that Gareth Southgate has been brave enough to name some up & coming youngsters into the England squad, & even braver by playing them! Tis the future. Well done GS. That's one in the eye for the stuffy shirt & collar boys in the FA!

Re: Football
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!!!! A real bad day at the office for Forest & the Baggies, although the Owls did at least manage a draw( a dour one according to the BBC!). The Reds result was predictable. Brum hadn't scored in four hours, not won in four games & had several first team players sidelined with injuries. Cue the obvious banana skin defeat!!
Don't know what's happened to the Baggies at all. No wins in ten. Certainly out of character for a pulls team!
The Owls just can't seem to get going for some reason. They've still got a good team, one that's seen them get into the play-off's in the last few seasons, but they look quite unsure & disorganised this time round. I agree with John's comments in a previous post, its the manager & the owners that's to blame. They need a change as quickly as possible but, like John, I can't see that happening sometime soon.

Oh dear indeed, Number 6. Not a good day at all.
I’m hoping Brighton will get three points against Stoke tomorrow evening.

Stoke are an awkward side, Eddie, but I fancy the Seagulls will bag the three points!

I hope you’re right, Number 6.
Good to see you posting on this thread, Daisy. Does this mean you’re a Stoke City supporter?

Only very mildly Eddie. You can't avoid hearing about your local team though, when you have avid supporters as friends on facebook!

Re: Football
I'm glad I didn't go to Hillsborough yesterday as my son informs me it was the most boring game he's ever seen there. And he's been a season ticket holder for 16 years!
I'm sorry to see West Brom struggle of late, I like Tony Pulis, I think he's done a good job there and before that at Stoke with limited resources.
I admire Chris Hughton too which is why I wish Brighton all the best in their match against Stoke tomorrow evening. With apologies to Daisy.
Number 6, supporting Forest must be causing you some grief. Get down to Meadow Lane and support County, they're top of the league you know.
