Hard to believe this thread started back in 2014!!!

Rob has nominated these: ( Bets, what does nominominated mean??)
Rob Houghton wrote:I love mince pies, hot or cold, with custard, or on their own - but we only ever eat them around Christmas - never buy them all year. The bramley apple pies are something we might buy at any time, so I don't really find them all that thrilling! :-)

These are the best -

Is Rob right? is there a better mince pie out there? If there is I would like to know about it please!

 Rob.
I like mince pies and and enjoy having some at Christmas. Then I usually buy some to freeze so we can have them later, when they seem to have disappeared from the shops.

I do love Christmas cake - although the homemade ones are the best. I've never tasted a shop one that's as good! :-)

And mince pies!

Although my niece and nephew, both American, refuse to eat Christmas pudding.

They look delicious! :D

Do you eat all of these only on Christmas or any other day other than Christmas?

Christmas pudding vs Christmas cake vs Stollen vs Mince Pie. Which one is the most delicious?

They can be eaten any time, but most often around Christmas. There's a superstition that you should eat one mince pie on each of the twelve days of Christmas - starting Christmas Day, to bring luck during the following year!

I like all of them - Christmas pudding, Christmas cake, mince pies and stollen - but I'm just greedy!

Lebkuchen! :D A German friend introduced me to it a few Christmases ago — it's delicious.

Chick sometimes makes one. Otherwise we buy one from our local Marks and Spencer store. Their Christmas cakes are very good, Pete. :D
