No, it's a joking reference to Enid Blyton's The Mountain of Adventure! I don't speak Welsh at all. (I am learning Cornish, though, which is closely related.)

Sounds like a good idea to me, Machupicchu — what languages do you know so far? I'm only fluent in English, but I learned Japanese at school (though I haven't kept it up) and also learned some Hebrew and Greek at university (but only for religion studies classes, not as spoken languages).

I've done the Cornish course rather than the Welsh course, but I found it quite fun and challenging.

Well, I speak English and Spanish. I used to learn Latin at school, but I don't have a teacher anymore. I am also learning French with my class, Russian , Irish, Italian and Dutch. I don't know, but I just think languages are special.

Wow, it's so awesome how you love languages so much! I only know English, Marathi, Hindi and a tad bit of Sanskrit. I would love to learn German as well, but I have quite enough on my plate with Sanskrit, which I have to learn in school but I don't like. I love learning different languages as well, but currently I'm focusing on surviving my last year of Sanskrit. After that I'll be free to do whatever I want. I love English as a language, it's just so artistic and free. It's like you can do anything you want with English, write whatever you want and say whatever you want. The other languages that I know seem to have more rules and regulations somehow.

The fact that English dropped grammatical gender centuries ago for genderless nouns (chair, window, cake, etc.) must make our language easier to learn than many others, though of course our spelling system causes difficulty as it's full of anomalies!

English Is indeed a very nice language if its used correctly:-)

Dropping almost all conjugation of verbs makes it easier as well.

The English language. Yes, I just love it. Just imagine how delightful is it to sit down with a cup of tea and read, Enid Blyton Jane Austen (as a fact I learned so much new vocabulary with her!), or Shakespeare, Bronte, Dickens,ect.
Well, I think all languages are beautiful

I spent my recent birthday with my best friend who lives in Wales and received several 'Pen-blwydd Hapus' cards from her family. Her mother is currently learning the language and her teacher sounds quite strict. In a few months time, all conversations including those on the phone will be spoken in nothing but Welsh!
