It wasn't forecast Rob so it was a bit of a surprise. The temperature has crawled up to one degree above freezing and it is thawing now.

Yes - Thought we'd seen the back of it for a while! None here so far! It certainly feels cold though! :D

It was a bit frosty here in north-west Kent this morning but it soon started melting and it's all gone now. Still not exactly warm, though. Meanwhile, back in Melbourne, the forecast is up into the 30s for the next couple of days... 8) (I'll be there next month.)

We finally dropped to 9c today early morning here in Pune, after weeks of being around 14c early morning temps. At the moment it's back at 27c. Usually drops down to 7c early morning and late night, and goes up to 30c in the afternoons. But this winter we've had unseasonal rains because of the cyclone down south, so we were well above 10c until today. I feel victorious that it's finally going down. I love temps between 0-5c, along with rain/clouds and a fair bit of snow now and again, but dream on, Sunskriti, dream on. :(
Btw, I'm moving out of India in less than two years, (for Undergrad), so I just realized this is the second last winter here.

Here in Ireland is raining at the moment, with cold temperatures (sadly not cold enough for snow but then we are quite neat the sea so it's kinda hard). Then I'm really liking having cloudy and sunny days, even if my hands freeze but the sky is looking so beautiful down here... :D
I love Ireland soo much!

Our first Pembrokeshire snow! The stream is all frozen over and thick with icicles, and the hills look beautiful, so smooth and white! I had to break the ice on the bird drinker to refill it, very popular with a running queue of birds for that and the fatballs which are a winter favourite! Its very quiet, usually hushed with snow anyway and out here in the countryside nothing's moving!

Heavy snow here in Brighton and it’s settling.

I just hope to goodness Tony's heating is now working properly and keeping him nice and warm!

Yes, I hope so too!

Meanwhile over here, in the immortal words of Winnie-the-Pooh...

(though thankfully I'm indoors and my toes are reasonably warm! )

I always loved that Winnie the Pooh poem! :-D

In fact I like a lot of AA Milne's poetry in the Pooh books.

As I said in another thread, here in South Birmingham we've had a slight fall of snow last night - like a dusting of icing sugar - and then that melted this morning before we had five minutes of quite heavy snow. I thought it was setting in for the day but it stopped and the sun came out and now its all gone. So far so good!

Quite a bit of snow here in sunny, but very chilly Suffolk. The water bottles on my guinea pigs' cages were frozen - the first time that's happened for a long time.

Thanks for sharing that rhyme Courtenay, it takes me back 20 odd years. My daughter had a little boxed set of board books when she was very young, and I remember reciting that one with her.

It's almost stopped snowing here now but there's a fluffy white blanket of snow all over the front meadow and the trees are all quite laden with it too. :D

And now it is snowing here on and off between glimpses of blue sky!

I love that Pooh song too - first meeting it when I was about six. I immediately sang rather than said it and that is how I passed it on to my children!
