After a long day of nonstop rain its cleared at last, and there's a strawberry moon coming up over the sea - so called not for its colour but because it gives enough light to harvest the strawberry crop by night...

We do have some lovely clear weather at night or late in the day but during the day itself, sunshine is a rare commodity.

Still not much rain here, though forecasters are still predicting an above average monsoon. If we don't get enough this year, I really dunno what will happen. Many people will have to pack up and move, I daresay! :|

The Bad weather is back in Ireland!!! :|
Yesterday it was fine, but today, it really seems as if the world was coming to an end. Honestly, after being in 'the land of the sun' (Peru) it feels really weird to be here.

A mini heatwave has arrived in the south east, 31C in September  - the holiday goes on with the seafront cafes doing a roaring trade in iced coffee, heavenly blue, blue sky and sea, forecast to last through the week :D

The 'mini heatwave' makes me smile - three times forecast and three times a disappointment in the Midlands. Sure, it's warm - but only about 20c - and very cloudy and threatening thunder. Not my idea of a mini heatwave or an 'Indian Summer'. :(

It's really warm outside here in Kent — reminds me of early summer in Melbourne, before it gets TOO hot, that is. I could stand more weather like this. 8) By contrast, I had a Skype video call with my parents this morning — evening for them — and they were still in jumpers with the heating on!

Warm and sunny on the Surrey / Sussex border. It's been a very changeable year overall.

Brilliant sunshine all week, it got positively warm here in Pembrokeshire at 29C yesterday  , but here's the Bank Hol weekend and its instantly miserable, ushered in with a thunderstorm last night and a drizzly mist that has lasted all day....

I love sunny and windy day. I love 27c to 34c. Typical temperature here. This range of temperature with sun shining brightly and wind is my ideal weather! I love sun shines brightly. I love bright yellow. I remember in 2013, the weather in KL, Malaysia was a bit unusual almost everyday throughout the year. 21c to 28c. Personally, 21c-25c was cold and I hated the chill. I remember I went to Madinah and Mekah in late December and early January 2013-2014. The weather there was very cold 11c at 10am. I knew because there was a thermometer in my hotel room. At night, the temperature dropped to unbearable temperature 6c!!!. I always wore thick socks with thick clothes when going outside especially to mosques. My body and legs had "vibration" due to the cold weather. This was totally different with the weather in Madinah and Mekah in April-May 2009. The temperature reached 40c at midday!

21c to 25c is very nice and comfortable, any higher and we soon droop (at least many of us do). I don't think I would be shivering until the temperature dropped to much less than the 6c which seems so cold to you. I suppose we get used to what is usual for us... and we certainly wear more clothes than those in warmer countries!

We've been lucky to escape the snow and ice that brought large segments of the country to a grinding halt this week, presumably the Gulf Stream keeps the extreme cold at bay and its just been a bit damp hereabouts. Still, the forecast is milder for the rest of December, alas no White Christmas predicted.

Add "snow" to that mix and that is what we have here today in the Midlands.
