Have a great time, IceMaiden! I'm quite a fan of Elaine Paige. By my powers of deduction (and Google!) I guess you're going to Aberystwyth! Haven't been there for many years! I'm sure there are plenty of bookshops, as its a university town.
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

(E. Blyton, Sunday Times, 1951)

So I've decided to get the bus in the morning, get there nice and early and then I can have a good look around. Maybe even find a bookshop or two to rummage in .
Sounds brilliant, IceMaiden. I've seen Elaine Paige in concert three times (in 2009, 2011 and 2016) and she's fabulous. Her voice is stunning and she always has some interesting anecdotes to share about her life on the stage.

Hope you feel better soon, Chrissie!

They are coming back tomorrow to replace it (free) with lead flashing.

Cheers, Jack - no great credit to me :? , I just can't function in "topsy-turvy"! Hope the roofers show up and get the job finally done before the autumn gales set in!

Get well soon Chrissie, meanwhile enjoy your rest, oranges and a good read!

Enjoy the concert, Icemaiden, how lovely to see Elaine Page on stage, I last saw her in CATS years ago!

Hope you're feeling better again soon, Chrissie! A good Enid Blyton book like Hollow Tree House will certainly help to make you feel more cosy! :D

The roofers -that had chosen Friday to fix the lean-to flashing failed to show up. (They had originally suggested Monday morning but phoned to suggest Friday! Now they want to come on Monday!
Today I had my 'flu jab (vaccination). And a pretty successful shopping trip- basically catching up on all the things that staying in last Thursday- for a visit by the roofers that lasted approx 10 minutes (and of course Friday )when they did not show up or have the decency to phone. I have read that the 'flu this year is going to be especially bad which is why I decided to have my first ever 'flu jab.
