Yes, it's lovely. The look of the sea varies tremendously depending on time of year, time of day and the weather. I'm planning to have a walk by the sea today. It's dull and cloudy at the moment but sunshine has been forecast for later.sixret wrote:You are lucky. I have always wanted to live near sea so that I could walk or jog while enjoying its wind and nice scenery.

Anita is lucky enough to have the chance to pass a Noddy ride when she walks along the sea front too.

Filling the pots with fresh compost, pansies and violas, daffodil, crocii, tulip and iris bulbs for winter and early spring colour, a lovely job on this sunny day with the air fresh and cold and rich as milk and the washing blowing in the breeze!
"Its a magic wood!" said Fanny suddenly.

You must find it difficult to curb your excitement, Anita.
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

I think we need a photo of you sitting on the Noddy ride, Anita - just for proof.

In the USA people have been saying that the day after "spring forward", when everyone has to get up an hour earlier, there seems to be an increase in the number of traffic accidents. People driving to work on an hour less of sleep.

Putting the clocks back an hour isn't much fun when you're on nights and you have to work the same hour twice.

Workplaces ought to make sure the same people are on nights when we lose an hour in the spring!John Pickup wrote:Putting the clocks back an hour isn't much fun when you're on nights and you have to work the same hour twice.

I believe we do try to do that at the care home where I work, although I haven't yet been on night shift when either time change happens, so I can't confirm it for sure...Anita Bensoussane wrote: Workplaces ought to make sure the same people are on nights when we lose an hour in the spring!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

We're enjoying the great outdoors whilst the weather lasts, up here in the hills once the mist and rain arrive they tend to linger Hope you are enjoying sunny autumn days too!Katharine wrote:Sounds lovely.
