Currently i'm trying to work out, for the umpteenth time, why my notification emails from EB forums have all suddenly been filtered into my junk email. Apparently there's nothing I can do about this. For months they haven't been filtered as junk - but now every Eb Forum notification is junk!! Grrr!

Maybe your email filter has joined the Blyton-bashing brigade, Rob??

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I think it must have! Luckily I of course can still come on here and check for new notifications - but I have got used to checking the email notifications too - and its annoying having to move them from my junk folder to my inbox just so I can click on the links! :-(

I turned off my notifications... too many emails! I always go straight to "View New Posts" which show all the posts since my last visit.

I don't do notifications either, usually — I just go to the main forum page and scroll down to see which sections have the little circular icon lit up in yellow to show there are new posts!

Yeah - I do that too, but I still like to have email notifications! When I had Windows 8 the notifications from Eb Forums always went straight to my inbox - but with Windows 10 they sometimes go to my inbox and sometimes straight to junk. There is no way of permanently getting these notifications to always go to my inbox. That's what's frustrating!

When you open one of the emails, is there an option to click that says 'Not Junk'? I use hotmail/outlook and if I open a junk mail I can click Not Junk and that sends it back to my inbox and does the same with any further mails from that address. Not sure whether other email providers have the same function tho. :)

Not exactly. I can move it to my inbox - but no option to say its not junk. There used to be on Windows 8 but not windows 10 version. :-(

I have to keep moving them to my inbox from the junk folder, but it never learns that EB Forum notifications aren't junk, so I have to do it every time. About 10% go straight to inbox, so I generally use the link on one that has reached the inbox and then check others on the website. Its just useful to have notifications so I can just click the link straight through to the forums.

They use the word "not spam". Tick the box on the left of that particular e-mail. Then click "not spam" button on top of the e-mail layout.

Are you on windows 10 Outlook? I don't have a 'not spam' option - can only move emails from junk to another folder such as inbox... 8)

Oh, I'm still on Windows 8. :(

What about if you add the address that the notifications come from, to your contact list? I know that addresses on your contact list are considered 'safe' and should never go to Junk. Sometimes when you sign up to something it says in the sign up email 'add us to your contacts to ensure our mails don't get lost' or words to that effect.

Yes it is, I didn't know there was any other though! It's very confusing, not something to have on in the background and half follow that's for sure

That's what I do, if you have email notifications wouldn't you get a message every time someone posts?
