 My Mum loves coffee too, but my dad only likes OXO as a warm drink (only in a flask in we're going out on a cold day) - I can't stand this either. Yes, perhaps I'll appreciate warm drinks more when I'm a bit older.

Hehe just you wait til you have to get up at the crack of stupid to go to work - then you'll like a nice warm coffee! ;)

I've never tried OXO as a warm drink, it's a great idea - is it like Bovril? My dad loves Bovril too - he and his friend at work always make themselves mugs of it in the canteen when they have lunch. :)

Just imagine drinking a cup of gravy - that's what it tastes like, anyway... My sister likes it, too. I can't see why. Yes, I suppose it is quite similar to bovril.

I must try that, Poppy! :)
I must admit to quite enjoying drinking the remnants of any gravy I've made to put on my dinner - especially if it's beef gravy made from the remnants of the roast beef tin! :D

Hehe, sorry! No offence intended! :D I was intending it to sound more like the 'old' in 'old thing', like in a friendly way, but it's difficult to convey in writing, haha!

Although I like tea, I very rarely drink it - for the simple reason that I don't like fiddling around with tea bags! I'm the first to admit it's pure laziness and impatience on my part, but it's much easier to put a spoonful of instant coffee in a mug, pour boiling water over it and away you go. Better than the waiting, dripping and scalding of the fingers that I associate with tea!

Actually, I believe you can get instant tea, but I've never bought any. Might have to try it out.

Also, I've tried OXO, Bovril and Marmite as hot drinks. And certainly when it's work the next day, I'll have an Ovaltine or Horlicks to help me drop off.

Leave the bag in - that's what I do with mine - makes a lovely flavourful cuppa, and you don't have any of the annoyance of taking out teabags and dropping them on the carpet ;) ;)

Never tried either, sorry - I'm not into chocolate drinks (though I do like eating chocolate). They have Milo here in the UK too, I'm pretty sure.

(By the way, I don't like being called Court, but it's OK, you couldn't have known! )

What's your favourite tea or other hot beverage, Paul?

I mainly drink Earl Grey tea, but I do drink green tea as well. I once tried some sort of raspberry tea and found it revolting. Peppermint tea makes me feel sick.

I don't drink coffee at all, but I have a fondness for milo and hot chocolate. :D I used to drink Ovaltine as a child but to be honest but never liked it, the same with Nesquik. I did however like eating the little ovaltine sweets, mainly so I could collect the sticks that came with them.

Everyone I know seems to need a cup of coffee before they can do anything in the mornings. I am the same but with a cup of tea. :D
