Merged with an older topic.

Hi, wondering if there are any Downton Abbey fans here? I am a huge fan and love everything about it. Such a well made series, wouldn't you agree?

So lovely to see fellow Downton Abbey fans on the forums. I still watch the Dvds. For continued conversations feel free to join the FB page Downton Abbey Official.

We have the whole series on DVD and watch it all at least once a year!

Going to see the movie this week with my wife - anyone else planning to see it?

Yes - hoping to see it. I'm waiting for two friends to come back off holiday - they are big Downton fans and we are all going to see it together! :-D It's apparently quite weepy at the end!

We tried to get the Groupon two for one deal Rob - but it was sold out.
It's going to cost us about £22 to see it one day this week at the cheaper rate before 5pm.
Don't know if that's a good price???

Chick and I always go to the Orion Cinema in Burgess Hill to see the latest films, Pete. Adults tickets are £6.90 and senior tickets are £5.90, and so it costs us £11.80 to go to the pictures.

That's very reasonable Eddie - Our nearest cinema is an Odeon.
I believe in about two or three years when my wife and I are fifty five we will qualify for a mature/senior ticket at a slightly reduced price!

We're quite lucky where we live, we're about 20 mins drive from a cinema which costs £4.50 per ticket, so we'll definitely be going to see Downton in the next couple of weeks.

We somehow never got into the TV series, I'll look forward to hearing how everyone rates the film version.

Went to see the film, enjoyed it immensely. I don't go to the cinema often, so that was quite an experience in itself. The seating has certainly changed, and so, so comfortable. Not like the cinema's of the 60's.
