Now I'm even more confused...a Famous Five type book that's a Famous Five adventure type story but isn't a novel?! :?

hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Zoe doesn't say that it is an adventure book, Robert. Which is why I thought it was an information book.

I'll try & get Zoe to post an answer. I was just trying to say that knowing Zoe, she'll turn her book into an adventure story based loosely on the F5. I can't see her writing a book about an informative guide to the F5 or something similar! :D

Received an e-mail from Zoe (George@Kirrin) this morning. She's delighted that her proposed F5 type book has caused a bit of interest on this thread. She said she'll be popping on to the forums in the next two weeks to discuss her "Two Trees" project! :D

Meanwhile, apropos of nothing, here's a news article that cracked me up just now — the RSPCA were called to a house in Coventry for a rescue that was, well, not what it seemed...

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Don't underestimate the danger of socks, Courtenay, especially mine after a day of walking on the hills! The smell would knock you out from 100 paces!

I must say, that one they found under the bed does look like it's starting to mutate into a new life form...

In the Waterloo Station branch of Foyles the other day I had just been admiring the good selection of Enid Blyton titles when a couple came in wanting to buy a book for a young relative aged ten (I couldn't help overhearing!) There were shelves of authors to choose from but I was secretly willing them to pick an Enid Blyton so I was pleased when they eventually chose Five Go to Smuggler's Top! :D The man looked at the original date of publication and remarked that he and the book were about the same age!
