Just out of interest Facebook, and this site says that Ming's birthday is today, 17th October. Did you all start to wish her happy birthday a day too soon.

Ming is in New Zealand which is about 12 hours ahead of the UK, so it made sense to start the birthday wishes early!

It really irritates when people say this! I often greet someone by saying, "How are you, old thing?" or something like that. The usual reply is. "Hey, less of the old." It has nothing to do with age, as devoted Blytoneers will know. Just a term of endearment.
