I'm just stunned that he's 68! Where have all the years gone?

I thought Julie said he was 65 last year...

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

She did, Courtus. Which makes Moonus 14 years younger than my own Father. And 17 years younger than my Father's Brother.

Nigel's going to love this thread when he reads it.
He's not 68, Pete, he's 66!
And as he only got back from his hols yesterday, I expect he's relaxing now and enjoying his birthday.

Happy Birthday Nigel...you don't look a day over 68...I mean 66.

It seems that Nigel has reached that golden age when no one knows how old he is or when his birthday is! Still I expect he must know both of these so here is another

I suppose he removed it for I'm pretty sure it was there in recent years.Courtenay wrote:I still say there's no proof this is really Nigel's birthday unless the website says it is, which it doesn't...

Re: Happy Birthday Nigel!!
It's always easy to remember how old Nigel is! If it's 2016 he's 66, 2017 will be his 67th and so on.
I did start the original thread six hours too early, eh!

Re: Happy Birthday Nigel!!
What a great thread!
Firstly, a huge thank you for all of your lovely (and humorous) posts. We have been away from home for a couple of weeks, starting with our son's wedding at Brinkburn Priory in Northumberland and then spending a further ten days in Alnwick and exploring the north-east and borders (why is it referred to as the Scottish Borders and not the English Borders?). Chrissie would have loved it - we are now 'castled-out'!
Secondly, apologies for not replying. I'm not mad at you Christie, but being away I have limited my online sessions to email - and of course, saw Facebook as I also put up some wedding photos whilst away. Incidentally, I never get mad with people, but they sometimes get mad with me! I am delighted to share my age with a lighthouse, Chrissie. I also share my dob with Agatha Christie, although somewhat younger and still alive.
Even if my old friend Ming wasn't first off the blocks this year and doesn't find the time to post that often, she does still regularly email me - usually to berate me for failing to reply to her last email.
This is my first visit to the forums since going away, and I know now how Michael Edwards feels - so many posts to read! Just as well it's raining outside.
Thanks again for all your good wishes. You're a great bunch of friends to have. Regarding my birthday not appearing, I think I left my dob box blank as I feel guilty if someone's birthday slips by and I don't post. It has nothing to do with not liking the person, just that I haven't seen the thread. I will try to do better! You can see, Tony, that hiding your dob doesn't stop a flood of birthday greetings flying in. I am most humbled.
When I have sorted out all of our wedding/holiday photos, I will post a small selection for you to look at. Thanks also to Tony for replying to my email regarding Seven Stories/Newcastle. I missed that boat by quite a long time!

*Walks up to Moonus, and gives him a big kiss and cuddle*
Apologies, Moonus, but I'm just happy to see you again. And Congratulations to your Son, on his Marriage. Also worth mentioning, that Mingus also likes reading Agatha Christie books too, Moonus. And she's put this little fact, on her profile.
Speaking of which Moonus, when you, Ming, and I, do finally hook up to talk books and share meals, etc., Would you rather go to restaurants, or help make meals from scratch, with ingredients bought from supermarkets?

Lovely post, Nigel - but who asked you to butt in?
Glad you've had a few good days away getting castled out!

Re: Happy Birthday Nigel!!
Great post, Nigel - but we wouldn't expect any the less from you.
You do indeed have many friends on this forum and it reflects the affection we all for you - and yes, you are younger than me (if only by a few months)!
