Sad News
I have just been told the sad news that Colin Harding has died after a fall at home.
Colin looked after the Society Stall at Enid Blyton Days for me and also sold his own books in an adjoining stall. I am sure that some of those reading this will have bought books from him at an Enid Blyton Day.

Re: Sad News
Sad news indeed. I remember Colin manning the Society stall at all the EB days I went to and I bought books from him. My condolences to his family.

Oh, how sad. I have only been reading about him in the new Malcolm Saville Society journal.
My condolences to his family.Colin Harding has been having a rough period but is hopefully over the worse. Colin has been finding books for members for many years and who can forget the fiendish treasure hunt he set for us in Sussex a few years ago

Re: Sad News
A large portion of my collection came to me courtesy of Colin Harding. He was always unfailingly cheerful and polite and I loved browsing his and the society's stalls in Twyford. I'm Very sad to hear this news. My condolences to his family. RIP.

This will be of interest to those who knew Colin. Although the release is directed at MSS members, it might be of interest to some of us.

Very sad news about someone who was so closely involved with two societies celebrating children's authors. I never met him but offer my sympathy to his family.

Re: Sad News
Very sad news. I bought lots of books from Colin at the Enid Blyton Days in Twyford. As recently as 14th March I bought two books from his stall at the Lewes Book Fair and spent time chatting to him about books in general and about Enid Blyton in particular. My condolences to his family. RIP Colin.

Re: Sad News
So sorry to read this... Colin was indeed a lovely man from whom I bought some very reasonably priced books at the EB days. He will be sadly missed.

Oh, that is sad. Colin always provided cheerful conversation and a great stock of reasonably-priced books and ephemera at the Enid Blyton Day. My daughter remembers him too - we're very sorry to hear this news.

Re: Sad News
I was upset to hear about Colin through my MSS email this morning. He was always a charming man, who had some lovely collections of book and memorabilia.
When my mother was re-collecting her Saville's she brought most of them off of Colin.
RIP Colin. I think its safe to say you will be missed!

Re: Sad News
I don't remember if I bought anything from Colin or not at the2012 Enid Blyton Day, but it's sad to hear that someone connected with that wonderful day has died. He sounds like a lovely man.
