Re: Monthly Quiz

To be honest I'm really amazed that I'm top (score-wise!) with only 25! Was it a particularly hard quiz?! I'm sure I won't remain with the highest score for long!

It does seem odd that sometimes the highest score isn't always the top score - but that's how the quiz works. Quite a few times in the past its worked out similarly for me and for others. :-D As I say, I'm never at the top! I'm surprised (and a bit embarrassed!) that this time everyone seems to have noticed!!

hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes

I'm just astounded that I got into the top three in the first place and am still there (as of this morning at least) even after some of the well-known aces, especially Daisy and Rob, have had their turn! I can only conclude that it's a harder quiz than usual and I was just lucky with a lot of my guesses!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

20 for me which is dubious since I had to make so many guesses! That was quite a tough quiz this month. Most enjoyable one for a while though so well done to the quizmaster or mistress. :D

Well done too to Aparna for holding on to the top spot in the quiz for so long. :D

My apologies to both Rob and Aparna... It would be nice to go out on a high though, as I'm not sure I'll have the time or brain power for the quiz for a while after this.

"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Congratulations, Fiona... ;-) :P

Well at least I'm still third - with the highest score of the month! ;-)

What about me, getting knocked out of third place just as I'd got there at last for the first time ever?? No, really — congratulations, Fiona, and indeed Rob for still having the highest score!

It's early days yet - someone is bound to get 29 or 30 in about 50 seconds before the month is out!! 8)
