Well, there is an extremely vibrant and passionate fanbase for Betty Maxey on these forums. It just doesn't necessarily consist of more than one person.

The others are still in the closet and haven't 'come out' as Betty Maxey fans yet! ;-)

Chrissie - Pete just won't give up fighting a losing battle. Rob (with help from Courtenay) just loves flogging dead horses. :D

Who's flogging dead horses? :? Speaking for myself — not that I can see why I just got singled out — I don't particularly care who prefers which illustrator and have no interest in arguing with anyone over their favourites. I was just joining in with the general jokes that several of us were making about the "Betty Maxey fanbase". :| (In fact, the only reason I posted was to explain the joke to Chrissie, who seemed confused by it.)

It's 100% Soper love or nothing Courtenay - it's too late for me,but you're young and you have your life ahead of you. Don't worry about me - I've lived life to the Max since the 1974 editions and I have no regrets... :D

And I appreciate that, Courtenay. :D
