Many happy returns to the Enid Blyton Society Website. 13 years old today. A teenager at last.

I'm sure there must be a thread somewhere but I was unable to find it, but I'm sure Anita will do the necessary. A happy Christmas to all members too.

NOW MERGED.

Happy 13th Birthday to us! Thanks to everyone for another year of wise, witty and wonderful posts! It's great to think that Enid Blyton has brought us all together. :D

I heartily endorse that Anita, and am glad to have been part of this lovely family for eleven of those thirteen years.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Happy Birthday from us, too. :D
André discovered the Blyton Yahoo Group in the summer of 2008 for me while we were living in Uxbridge, UK...I was soooo delighted to find out that I am not the only adult still re-reading EB books. 8)

But I don't remember when I started using The Cave of Books in EBS. It was a few years before I actually joined EBS as the registering process (especially creating the avatar) was a bit difficult.
Thanks to the threads on EBS I discovered several suspenseful EB books that I've never read before like "The Adventurous Four", "The Secret Island" and "Hollow Tree House".

Thank you so much Tony and Anita, Daisy, Francis, Rob, Pete, Eddie, Nigel and all others for many interesting and often enough hilarious posts!

Was this the original website or the earlier version? I always get confused! Iknow I was a member of the forum when it was blue in colour...with the old 'EB Society' logo. Was that before Christmas 2004 or was it the same site? :?

I'm sure I've asked this before...probably on this same thread!

I remember it being blue and I joined at the end of 2006 although I did lurk for some while before that, so I'm unsure if it was still blue by the time I joined. I guess somewhere there will be a comment on the forum about it.

Yes - I'm not sure if we had to be a member then, or if we could just post as a 'guest'. 8) I'm sure I went on the website on Christmas day or Boxing Day when it first started up, but I know I wasn't a member of the forums then.
