The Secret Seven use "delumptious", Eddie - and "scrumplicious"!

Thank you for the information, Anita. :D It's many years since I read any of the Secret Seven books and, because they were never my favourite Enid Blytons, I've never bothered to reread them. As a result I didn't remember the wonderful word "delumptious" - or "scrumplicious" for that matter.

That word 'scumplicous' reminds me of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Truely Scrumptious!

Are the new Society reprints of Sunny Stories for Little Folks still in the pipeline? I keep checking the shop to see if they have been published yet. Hope they have not stalled for some reason, I'm really looking forward to getting them.

I think Tony is getting some printed along with the next Journal, as it's more economical to have them done at the same time. I'm very much looking forward to them too, Kate.

Crumbs, the original Sunny Stories FLF are beyond my budget, I would rather have nice new reprints anyway. Thanks for your replies, Anita & Tony.

The originals look fantastic. It says £100 or best offer. What do you think my chances are if I offer the seller a fiver for each of them?

No? Oh well, thank goodness Tony's publications will be more within my budget. :D

My copies of Sunny Stories for Little Folks arrived yesterday. These facsimiles are well worth getting, they are absolutely charming. I love the advertisements for Enid's early books on the back and inside covers. I was diverted from reading the Journal to trying No.4 The Enchanted Wood, a lovely fairy story as good as anything Enid wrote in this genre.

Thank you Tony for giving us the opportunity to read these early stories, I am looking forward to further titles being published.

I've spent the past few days reading through the Society publications with my younger brother. He particularly enjoyed the Merry Moments Annual 1925, and was very attracted by the beautiful illustrations, some of which he has reproduced. I couldn't help but feel very grateful to the Society and Tony in particular, for making these booklets available! Thanks for all your hard work, Tony.
