How impressive all you blurb writers are and especially Tony for sorting, preparing and publishing them and Anita for organising things. The fund of knowledge and skill on this site is very special. I have already read Julie's Find Outers ones and they are so helpful.

Thank you Courtenay, Julie, Poppy, Walter, Robert, Farwa, Stef and Fiona.

Wow - 74 blurbs already! :D I've just read the Famous Five, Secret Seven and Adventure ones and they serve to whet the appetite without giving away too much of the story. Thanks Poppy, Julie and Courtenay. Great stuff!

I've enjoyed reading others' blurbs and writing a few as well! :D Well done to Poppy and Julie especially - I don't think I could have summoned up the stamina to do all 21 Famous Five books, let alone 15 Secret Seven and 15 Find-Outers!!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

The Case of the Fudgie Fry Pirates 2008

Anyone going to tackle this one,or even own up to owning it??

Here's my blurb:

This very modern twist on a traditional Famous Five Adventure sees The Famous Five disembark on the mysterious Shelter Island only to discover a clandestine DVD bootlegging operation. To make matters worse, the bootleggers are also embedding subliminal messages on their pirate discs to impel children to eat Fudgie Fries candy....

I watched a clip from one once at an EB Day - and that was enough to last a lifetime!

Did you really leave the room during the show? I didn't notice, Esra showed us the complete episode of "The case of the impolite, snarly thing".

I didn't leave the room, but that episode was enough to put me off the rest of the series!

I have spent all week adding missing Bestime jigsaws to the Cave as someone kindly sent me a load of images. I have added 15 so far and it is hard yakker! The Bestime boxes were difficult to open and sealed with the awful yellow sellotape so they are invariably in a poor state (well loved!!) and it requires a great deal of work to prettify them - on average two hours each.

I know that few people will look at them, but some are worth a quick glance! One example on the link below.
