A page turner indeed. I wish my mind wouldn't race ahead, as I'm already wondering if we have a clue here as to where the treasure may be!

Thanks Daisy! Glad you're finding it a page-turner! It was my intention to try to end each chapter with a cliff-hanger...and according to Tony I must have succeeded at least partly, as he said he was prevented from doing any work because he had to read 'just one more chapter' lol! :-)

Don't wish the weeks away too fast - its frightening how quickly the year is going! It will be Christmas before we know it! :-D

Hmmm...you'll have to wait and see!

Many thanks to you Julie. :-D

It’s such a great pity that all these wonderful serials can’t be published in book form. I’d love to have them on my book shelves with my Enid Blyton collection.

I thought I’d wait and read this as a whole novel, but the comments are really tempting me to start right now :D

It would be most appreciated if you did, since many aren't reading it for the very same reason! However, it is of course your choice! ;-) Thanks for letting me know though, Nick - whenever you read it, I hope you enjoy it. :-D

Do you have the figures to prove this? If what you say can be substantiated, maybe it would be better to host a new story in its entirety and not have a weekly serial.

Hmmm...the idea was that all Enid's most popular books first started life as serials...so it would be defeating the object a little, I think.

If there were more children on here, then I'm sure there would be more people reading the serial on a weekly basis, since the main reason for waiting until the end seems to be the lack of memory for what happened the week before!! ;-)

If the stories were 'hosted in their entirety' then there would be large gaps of maybe six months between each one, as people couldn't keep writing a new one every week!

I've enjoyed all the serials but this latest one of yours Rob is shaping up to be a cracker. I always read each episode as it is published but sometimes I do have to look back at the previous instalment to refresh the memory. I rather like having weekly episodes, it reminds me of waiting for my favourite comic to be published so I could read my favourite serial. Keep up the good work.

Thank you, Kate Mary - that's praise indeed! :-D

I agree that sometimes I would have to reread the previous chapter to refresh my memory, so I wasn't making fun of anyone who can't remember what happened in the previous chapter...I would be the same, lol. I do like the idea of reading a story weekly, personally - and its a good exercise in memory and patience, too!

I never knew that.

Never know if you're being sarcastic or not, lol! ;-) But yes - that's why a chapter appears every week - rather than every fortnight as it would have in Enid Blyton's Magazine. :-D

I too sometimes look at the end of the previous chapter before embarking on the latest one.

It always amuses me that people find a week too long to wait for the next part when the majority of television serials are done in weekly episodes. I suppose you can always record six episodes and when it is finished binge watch the whole thing for six hours, but most of us can't spare the time.

What I find difficult is a series of books where you have to wait a year for the next one and sometimes longer than that. I have just bought the next Laura Marlin book by Lauren StJohn and I think it is about three years since she brought the last one out - and I find it difficult remembering something from yesterday! :(

I've never understood the 'binge-watch' culture. I'd much rather watch an episode every week if watching a series. :-)
