Users Online
I often wonder about statistics, but I have just noticed an odd one. Yesterday accordong to the bottom of the forums we had the most users ever online, 56. What is slightly puzzling is that the time was 5.18 am, which I guess means that not many came from the UK!

Guilty as charged, Tony, as it's a good time for me......but I'm only one person.
Maybe my pc has developed multiple personalities.

I wasn't around... hmm, maybe Aurelien needs to check his computer for reproducing viruses!

Re: Users Online
I really have to think, because of the time differences of our forum friends from the other side of the world. I know America is behind us in time, but I'm not sure of the hours. Aurelien is ahead in time, but again if it's 5.30am here I don't know what the time would be in the land of the Kiwi or Australia. Then there's Europe, I wouldn't even know how far ahead their time difference is either

Julie, except when Summer Time strikes, at your end or mine, there's a 12 hour difference between the UK and New Zealand - we're 12 hours earlier than you.

Probably most of them were guests!Tony Summerfield wrote:I often wonder about statistics, but I have just noticed an odd one. AEST is 10 hours ahead of time in Greenwich (I don't know it there is an abbreviation for this). It's quite a good system really, becuse people in England come on and post, then 10 hours later, people from Kiwi-land and Aussie come on and post, and sometime in between, you'll get Ming in Bangladesh, or people in India!Julie2owlsdene wrote:I really have to think, because of the time differences of our forum friends from the other side of the world. Re: Users Online
Make that 12 hours ahead of GMT in the case of those of us from NZ. Of course any elderly retiree here can go on-line at any time they're awake....

What about India, Pakistan etc? I know the facebook EB fan groups are mostly filled with members from that part of the world. The other countries in Asia where EB is still popular is Malaysia and Singapore. They are just a few hours ?later? than Australia/NZ.

Well, I am from Sri Lanka, and we are only five and a half hours (I guess ) ahead from the UK.

Re: Users Online
214 users online, on Nov 17, at 5.31 am (GMT+7).
Yes I DID say GMT+7, because ever since summer we've had DST, and the government has no intention of switching back to the original time. Oh, how I hate waking up at 7 am each day, to find it still dark outside.

Yes, I don't suppose we will ever beat this figure, it came immediately after the film, 'Enid', ended. We had over 3000 visitors on Monday and this went up to over 3500 yesterday, but we will soon be back to normal!

That’s a big increase, and an interesting statistic.
