Hope you're not feeling too down about things, Sue. If you're not doing so already, perhaps you could consider part-time voluntary work somewhere local until you find a paid job. You could choose something related to your interests and it would be a good thing to mention on job application forms.

Oscar, it was great to read your post! Not long now till the next Journal, which is due out towards the end of March. :D

Yes, Sue; imagine working in a charity shop, you could be in charge of the Blyton section! Good luck, anyway.

Rubbish tip? I'm sure that is a gross exaggeration. Along with the others on this Forum, I trust that you will find employment soon. In the meantime, voluntary work would be rewarding as well as giving one a work record, potential employers prefer this.

The company that I work for is due to shed 650 employees by April, my job is said to be safe at the moment, but who knows what the next few months will bring? I dread redundancy, I too would face age discrimination.

That's good news, Sue! You should be just in time to receive Journal 38, which is due out later this month.
