I hadn't seen this thread at all as I have been working hard at the 'day job' over the last few days, but Nigel sent me the image attached to an email last night and I thanked him for it, improved it slightly and loaded it onto the website. I just thought that he had scanned his own book and had no idea it had come off eBay! 
As for asking permission to use it, I sometimes spend several hours on poor wrappers before putting them onto our website and I then see them used on other websites. Once in a blue moon somebody asks my permission, but normally not, and it is annoying to see someone saying what a great image a wrapper is to the owner of another website when they were not even aware that it was on our website in the first place!!
